Last weekend, the Disneyland Resort commemorated Black History Month with the 10th anniversary of “Celebrate Gospel.” Fifteen guest gospel choirs from across Southern California performed at Disney California Adventure park, engaging guests through powerful music, call-and-response and live band instrumentals.
“Celebrate Gospel” was created at the Disneyland Resort with the assistance of PULSE, one of several diversity resource groups for cast members that support and enhance Disneyland Resort strategies. As part of this year’s event, Disney Ambassador Rafa Barron shared about The Walt Disney Company’s grant of $1.5 million to UNCF (United Negro College Fund) earlier this year.
In this video, representatives of the Friendship Baptist Church Mass Choir and the Amazing Grace Conservatory reflect on the event, and 10 years of participation!
